OUR DOGS
I was first introduced to the Havanese breed in 1999 and spent the next seven years researching and asking questions. I also filled out several questionaires but always seemed to find a reason not to buy. Eventually I met, my then mentor and now friend, Chris who explained the health concerns with the breed. It was what I was waiting for. Somemone
who didn't want to sell me a dog, but educate me about the breed. It should be noted that all breeds have some concerns, however the Havanese genetically carry a CD gene with complications that I wanted to avoid having to deal with.
I was directed towards a group of people in the United States who had done extensive research about the health
concerns and then line breeding to remove the gene from their dogs. Soon I made arrangments to purchase Jenga,
a Havana Silk type, from Beth Johnson of Feliz Havanese.
I have throughly enjoyed every aspect of learning with
Jenga. So much so ,that we decided that other potential owners
should be given informed choices. We have chosen to breed
occasionally so we could offer potential owners a truly
healthy and happy Havanese. We're pleased to present our wonderful Havanese family.

THE BOYS

Ch Sunberry Pixc Spenser For Hire
‘Spenser’ is a wonderful ambassador for the breed. He is 9 1/2 inches (24 cm) at the shoulder and just less than 10 lbs (4.5 kgs), with a winning personality and temperament. He had an illustrious show career with several group placings as he made his way to a Canadian Conformation Championship title. He actually belongs to my good friend Chris,
of Pixc Havanese, but his home will always be with us. He loves to play, chase birds, enjoys long walks and brings much happiness as a therapy dog to the residents in the nearby Extended Care facility.

Ch Take Them By Storm My Seda
‘Cane’ is a pup that we kept from our first Havanese litter in 2009.
It soon became apparant that he was destined for the show
ring where he impressed Judges, competitors and audiences
alike. If fact, he won 6 Best Puppy In Group at the 2010
Fort St John, BC May show - a feat never
accomplished by any breed before. Cane finished his CKC Conformation Championship title
in 2010, however Cane's passion was apparent early
in life.
At the tender age of 8 weeks the pups were
introduced to small tunnels, bridges and other
baby-sized equipment. Cane soon became the ‘tunnel terror’
of his litter so when we introduced him to our local
Agility Club, Cane was a natural. We look forward to
making his next impact at the local agility trials. With a
fabulous attitude, incredible silk coat, stunning good
looks and excellent shoulder layback, short back, great
bite, and other desirable conformation traits, Cane will be an asset to any breeding program. |

THE GIRLS

Ch Feliz Ringside Gossip (Jenga)
'Jenga' was our first Havanese and came from Bob and Beth Johnson of Toledo, Ohio who raise the Havana Silk type. We chose to purchase a Havana Silk type rather than the better known American type of Havanese due to the unconditional lifetime health guarantee and tests. With
experience in showing horses, we felt confident in
presenting Jenga to the canine show world. Our youngest daughter was quick to show Jenga successfully to her Canadian Conformation Championship title.
Since then we have expanded into the Agility training which Jenga enjoys much more. She nears the top of the scale for breed standard as she is 10 ½ inches tall (26.5 cm) and weighs 12 lbs (5.4 kgs). Jenga is a Diva who loves long walks, agility,
camping and playing chase with her other Havanese
family.
Jenga, who carries several coloring genes, has produced some lovely puppies ranging from Chocolates, Blues, Champagnes, Black with Tan or Silver and the incredible true Red. She's a fantastic mother to all her puppies.
Jenga is registered AKC, CKC and Havana Silk.

Ch Seda's Sweet Summer Raine
‘Raine’ or Rainey, as we prefer to call her, is a lot like her sire as she inherited his small stature but big presence. She
was presented to the show ring in
2011 where she finished in only 4 weekends, winning 3
majors and 7 Best of Breed placings!! She has magnificent movement,
with an incredible silk coat and lovely manners. Raine has also passed all her health tests and is a gorgeous dog for our breeding program. She is loved by
all visitors as she is so friendly yet sweet.
She is 9 1/2 inches at the shoulder and under 10lbs. Raine is quick to learn and one wouldn’t expect this sweet little girl to be responsible for
absolute toy destruction to achieve the squeaker.
Her natural ability is Obedience and loves Agility so expect to see her getting those CKC titles as well.
